Trey Songz @ Fox Theatre 6/2

R&B star Trey Songz is making his mark and heading into Oakland this spring. He will be performing at the Fox Theatre on June 2nd. Songz will be closing out his Tremaine The Tour, which will be making stops all over the U.S. Opening for the singer will be the performer Mike Angel.

Trey Songz has been a R&B staple for ever since 2004. Recently, the singer dropped the album Tremaine The Album this year back last month in March. That album’s notable songs include the single Nobody Else But You, Playboy, Animal, and Come Over. Previous to that he has six other studio albums and has been featured on various hit songs. His first big break was with his first album I Gotta Make It, with the song Gotta Make It. After that Songz has hit both commercial and critical success with his music. He has been nominated three different times for a Grammy. Other songs that have gained the singer fame are Na Na, Bottoms Up, Say Aah, Slow Motion, Touchin’ Lovin’, and Neighbors Know My Name. The R&B singer is known for his soulful vocals, his sensual lyrics, and his ability to make most of his singles hits in the clubs. Songz’s music is classic and he will have no problem continuing his success. My personal favorite songs by Songz are Simply Amazing and Slow Motion. One thing that I think is particularly amazing about Songz’s music is his appreciation for women in his music; the way he write his love songs just pull at your heartstrings. They are romantic without being cheesy, he keeps his credibility due to the diversity of his music.

Fans of Usher, Ne-Yo, and Miguel will be down for to go to this show. Trey Songz is capable of making you want to dance all night long with your pals or slow it down with the one you care about the most. His music is fun, romantic, and lust-filled. Catch this dude when he rolls into town!
