Foo Fighters @ BottleRock Festival 5/28

Rock Gods Foo Fighters are making their way into the Bay area this spring! They will be playing the long anticipated BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley on May 28th. The Festival dubbed itself as “the first taste of summer” and what better way to kick summer 2017 with Foo Fighters and some nice times? The Foo Fighters will be headlining as the main event on the last day of the festival, which includes acts such as The Roots, Gavin DeGraw, and Bad Suns.

The Foo Fighters have been killing the rock music game for the better part of the last 20 years. The band formed in 1994 and has been steadily been successful ever since. The last time the band put out new material was back in 2015 with their free EP Saint Cecilia, which they released for free on their website. That EP had the hits Saint Cecilia and Outside. Once that album released the band address rumors of breaking up (they’re not) and that they will soon be releasing another album (it will be their ninth). Other than that, the last studio album the band released was 2014’s Sonic Highways, which produced the hits Something from Nothing, The Feat and The Famine, and Congregation. Their band broke into the mainstream with their post-grunge style and have been sticking around ever since; with each release the band is assured to have a hit. Their best songs include The Pretender, Everlong, Best of You, All My Life, Learn to Fly, My Hero, and Times Like These. My personal favorites from the band are the songs Back & Forth and Razor. The band has mastered the post-grunge sound, the rock sound, and acoustic songs. The vocals of Dave Grohl are instantly recognizable and, honestly, a gift.

Fans of Nirvana (hello, duh), Pearl Jam, and Red Hot Chili Peppers will be down for this concert which is slowly approaching the sold-out-not-working-button-online. This band is a classic, a staple, and just badass. The Foo Fighters put out a performance like no other. Keep your wallets ready and grab a ticket!
