Life Of Agony has recently released a new song called “World Gone Mad”, which will be a part of the album A Place Where There’s No More Pain.
Alan Robert, the bassist in the band had stated that the album “This record is a monster and we’re so psyched to finally share it come April. It’s got such an energy to it. Raging guitar riffs, heartfelt lyrics and killer grooves. We definitely turned things up a few notches in 2017, and it feels great. And I gotta say, we’ve never been so focused as a band. Before we even wrote the first note, we all knew what kind of record we wanted to make. You can hear that drive and intensity in the tracks and you can feel the momentum building.”
The song starts with a repetitive ringing type noise followed by a heavy beat, with fairly spoken vocal singing. The song can be listened to below.
According to the press release, Robert stated “The message behind ‘World Gone Mad’ could not be more relevant to what’s going on all over this planet right now. People are more divided than ever, and if we continue to ignore the fact that this world is busting at its seams and just continue to “stick our heads underground,” like the lyrics suggest, we will see a madness in our lifetime like we’ve never experienced before.”
UPDATE: The band has recently released a new music video for this song. According to the press release, Robert had said “With the ‘World Gone Mad’ video, we were really looking to break out of the typical performance video approach to capture a high concept visual. There is clearly a strong homage to horror movies such as Hellraiser and The Ring, and U.K. director Leigh Brooks of Firebelly Films went above and beyond to bring our ideas to life. It’s definitely the darkest and scariest looking video we’ve done to date.”
