California-based rapper Vince Staples is coming to the Union Transfer this week. Vince is best known for his association with rap group Odd Future, appearing on various albums of the members. Vince announced he was working no a new album titled, Big Fish Theory. Vince Staples is one of the most promising up and coming rappers in today’s game.
Since early beginnings, Vince had a way of words. When he first started out Vince was a part of hip-hop group Cutthroat Boyz with fellow rappers Joey Fatts and A$ton Matthews. After a meeting with Odd Future, Vince was featured on OF member Earl Sweatshirt’s debut self-titled album. Vince Staples release his first mixtape Shyne Coldchain Vol 1 in 2011 on a small music website. Vince Staple’s third mixtape Stolen Youth, produced by rapper Mac Miller, featured an all-star cast of rappers. From Schoolboy Q to Mac Miller, the mixtape put Vince in a league of his own. Vince Staples was the opening act for rapper Schoolboy Q’s Oxymoron World Tour in 2014. As Vince continued to gain success, the more people took notice of his skills.
Vince Staple has quickly established him as a great rapper. From his mixtapes to his first studio album, Vince is on the path to cement himself among the greats. Whenever his new album is dropping, it will sure be worth the wait.
