New Found Glory @ Union Transfer 3/23

Pop punk band New Found Glory stops by the Union Transfer this week for one of the many shows in the United States. New Found Glory recently released their latest album, Makes Me Sick. During the length of their career, New Found Glory has since released eight studio albums, a live album, two EPs, and three great cover albums. The band has an electric fan base and developed a cult following in the process.

The band was founded in Coral Springs, Florida with Jordan Pundik, Chad Gilbert, Ian Gruska, and Cyrus Bolooki in 1997. New Found Glory has been considered one of the founding fathers of second wave punk. Along with other bands from the 2000s, New Found Glory paved the way for punk in the 20th century. The band released their debut EP, It’s All About Girls in 1997. The band toured all along the east coast after the release. New Found Glory released their first studio album, Nothing Gold Can Stay two years later. The band signed their first record deal in 2000. The album reached number one on Billboard Heatseekers chart and had several weeks on Billboard 200. Their success puts them in the front of the punk scene during the turn of the century. New Found Glory had multiple gold records and multiple chart-topping albums.

New Found Glory made sure bands like them could be heard. Later in the years, NFG matured and somehow kept the same style of music they are known for. New Found Glory has toured with the likes of Blink-182 and Paramore. After listening to their new album, I highly recommend seeing them in this week.
