Windhand makes their way to the Underground Arts when they perform May 17th. Known for their stoner metal music, Windhand has established themselves as one of the great metal bands. Windhand’s last album, Grief’s Infernal Flower gained huge positive reviews. Since their career began, Windhand has released 3 studio albums and one live album. Windhand has also released a split album LP with the band Cough.
Windhand was founded in Virgina of 2009. The band is currently signed with Relapse Records after leaving Forcefield Records. Windhand recorded their debut self-titled album under Forcefield Records in 2012. The album suffered mixed reviews during the first two months of its release. After the release of the album, Windhand left Forcefield Records to sign with Relapse Records. A year later under a new record label, Windhand release their second album, Soma in 2013. The album peaked at number 16 on Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart, making it their most successful album to date. Windhand released their live recording of their show at Roadburn as their only live studio album in 2014. The band also released a split LP with rock band Cough the same year. Windhand’s third album, Grief’s Infernal Flower reached the number 7 spot on Billboard Heatseekers Chart.
