The Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble has released a second video off of their forthcoming album, Find Me Finding You. View the video for “Galactic Emergence,” below:
The video, directed by Sadier and Source Ensemble flutist David Thayer, beautifully accompanies Sadier’s voice with colorful, tranquil ocean imagery and footage of Sadier walking through what looks like a farm or vineyard, followed by a forest where she inspects an abstract sculpture. According to Drag City, “’Galactic Emergency’ boasts vivid light shows alongside stunning shots of nature.”
The video is the second released from the new album, with the first being “Love Captive,” which was released earlier this month. Find Me Finding You will be released via Drag City on March 24, and is Sadier’s first album released with the Source Ensemble that includes Nina Savary, Xavi Muñoz and Emmanuel Mario. The album encompasses Latin, krautrock and twee inspirations throughout a steady, calm tempo. Sadier’s most recent album was a solo record released in 2014 via Drag City, called Something Shines. Find Me Finding You also features musical appearances by Phil M FU, Mason le Long and Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor.
In conjunction with the album release, Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble will be touring throughout Spring, mainly in Europe. The tour kicks off tomorrow, March 23 at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee, and extends until May 27 at the South Street Arts Centre in Reading, United Kingdom. The band will also be playing at the International Festival of Psychedelia in Liverpool, United Kingdom from September 20 to the 23rd. View the full list of tour dates below.
