Time and time again fans grow and develop a connection with an artist or group and are later left to figure out how to feel after the group or artist decides to venture out and try something different. That is what fans of Evanescence have gotten used to since they first became fans of the group. Some of you may be familiar with the group because of their music, others may know them from the incident at the 2004 Grammys where it was when they beat out a then young 50 cent for best new artist and he walked on stage during the acceptance speech.
Well now Evanescenes is back in the headlines for more positive reasons. According to BLABBERMOUTH, Front woman of the group, Amy Lee has released a new song titled “Speak To Me”, which happens to be the song that plays at the end of th esuspense/drama film, Voice From The Stone, where Emilia Clarke, of Game of Thrones, has a starring role along with Marton Csokas, Caterina Murino, Remo Girone, Lisa Gastoni and Edward Dring.
As a preview for the later to be released song Amy Lee put out a teaser via her Youtube account last April. “Speak To Me” is available for download on itunes, Amazon, Google Play and also available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited.
Lee had this to say about the song and the upcoming film it is to be featured in, ” ‘Voice From The Stone‘ tells the haunting story of Verena, a nurse who is asked to aid a young boy who has fallen silent after the sudden passing of his mother. Verena is brought in to help him speak again.”
She went on to say, “As a new mother myself, the film resonated very deeply with me. I had the opportunity to work closely with Eric Howell, who directed the film, and Michael Wandmacher, who composed the score.”
This year, Lee has been active on the music scene with the release of a new song “Love Exists” in February and “Even in Death” being released that same month.
