Burger Boogaloo Kickoff Party @ Eli’s Mile High Club 6/30

Everyone’s favorite Oakland Music Festival, Burger Boogaloo is getting kicked off the right way with a party at the iconic Oakland spot Eli’s Mile High Club. The kickoff party will be on June 30th. The acts that will be performing will be Control Freaks, Knights of Trash, Jinxes, and Hollywood Sinners.

To start, Burger Boogaloo is a annual music festival that is hosted in Oakland every year, it’s known for its awesome lineup. It’s hosted in Moosewood Park. As for Eli’s Mile High Club, it’s an Oakland staple. It’s located in North Oakland and is known for its intimate space, good drinks, and overall good vibes. The bands playing are funky and up and comers. The Control Freaks are San Francisco natives who play some gnarly punk music. The four piece is trying to put “the P and U back into Punk Rock” according to their Facebook page. The Knights of Trash are a Pacific Northwest garage rock band. They recently released their EP in the last year. The third act is Jinxies. Then, for the fourth act it’s the Hollywood Sinners. They are another garage rock/punk band. Their songs are a mix of spanish and english; they are sort of like a harder, spanish speaking version of The Fratellis.

Come hang everyday after the festival at Eli’s, where there will be pre, post, and whatever parties after the events of the day! It cost 5 dollars admission, but for that small price you get to see some smaller bands at one of the best venues in the Bay.
