The House of Vans lineup scheduled for The Mohawk in Austin during SXSW 2017 was already chock full of impressive artists, such as Polica, Temples, Black Lips, Denzel Curry, Le Butcherettes, Meatbodies, Muuy Bien and more. Plus, there was an enticing tidbit that close observers would notice – one of the lineup spaces was reserved for “Special Guest.” Today it was announced that re-reunited post-hardcore band At The Drive In will be the penultimate set during the party, which takes place tonight (3/15).

The big news surrounding At The Drive In is twofold – firstly, they are touring with their new lineup (though they did do that last year too) with Keeley Davis filling in for Jim Ward. Ward left the band early into last year’s reunion tour. The second tidbit is much more important, as this new iteration of the band will be releasing their first new album since 2001’s underground crossover hit Relationship of Command. In fact, just last night the band played their first show since announcing the news of a new album in Dallas, performing a pair of new songs. One of which was “Incurably Innocent,” a track released with the album announcement while the other, “Arcarsenal” was heard for the first time by audiences. Tonight’s show is sure to be a big one.
