My Morning Jacket is hitting the road again this summer and just announced the tour dates! The tour includes big festival performances such as Electric Forest and Peach Festival. A huge stop in Queens NY marks the bands first performance at the historic Forest Hills Stadium. The tour starts in Ohio and makes stops across the country from Tennessee to Maryland. Attendees can expect a range of opening acts such as The Record Company, Margo Price, Gary Clark Junior, Jaw Gems and The Districts.
If you are wondering what the band sounds like live you are in luck. The band offered a amazing audio download of their performance at the bands One Big Holiday event in Mexico earlier this year. After playing 3 nights on the Mayan Riviera with no repeats they felt the need to give up the recording for fans everywhere to experience.
Roll Call/fan club pre-sale launches tomorrow at 10 a.m. for the new tour dates. For the general public you will have to wait until Friday March 17th. A limited number of tickets are still available for the July 15 concert at Forest Hills Stadium, which will be the only time My Morning Jacket in N.Y. all of 2017. One dollar from every ticket purchased will benefit My Morning Jacket’s Waterfall Project. Established in 2015, the Project is dedicated to supporting and promoting actions, big and small, for positive change in the world.
