Avenged Sevenfold is ready to get back on the road and they are proving it with the announcement of a list of new summer tour dates. A few weeks ago the heavy rock group already released dates for a massive stadium stadium tour with Metallica that will crisscross the U.S. making a stops in the major cities. The dates announced earlier today will intersperse the Metallica tour filling gaps in the tour dates with headlining shows starting as early as April 22nd. Supporting acts for the newly announced dates include Volbeat and A Day To Remember, unfortunately these acts wont be playing at the same shows. The tour starts with Las Rageous where A7X will be headlining.
Avenged Sevenfold has come a long way from their warped tour days in the early 2000s. The band formed in 1999 while still in high school. After releasing their first album Sounding the Seventh Trumpet from the label Goodlife out of Huntington California, the band experienced a quick rise to notoriety. The hardcore, metal, pop punk hybrid caught the eye of Warner Bros. who proceeded to release their hit record City of Evil. The album reached 30 on the Billboard 200 launching them into the main stream. The single Bat Country went on to land in the top 10 chart. Since their releases have all been extremely well received and led them to nation wide tours including the new supporting role for Metallica!
