LISTEN: HEALTH Covers New Order’s “Blue Monday” for Action Film Atomic Blonde

HEALTH have just released a new cover of New Order’s iconic synth track, “Blue Monday.” To hear the song, you can check out the trailer of the movie that the song was created for, Atomic Blonde. Unfortunately, the enticing and totally logical cover is cut a bit short when the trailer transitions into Queen’s “Killer Queen.” Those that are lucky enough to have an Apple Music account have total access to the track, which is mostly faithful to the original while throwing a bit of HEALTH’s trademark sound into the mix.

Warning, the trailer is quite violent, so it is semi-not safe for work.

HEALTH have been relatively busy lately, releasing remix album earlier this month that featured a trio of new songs. To promote the new album, the band held a “reverse-telethon” with 90s comedy icon Pauly Shore. That album included the recently-released single “Euphoria.”

The band’s most recent release previous to this remix album was their magnificent LP Death Magic, and album that achieved High Fidelity status on this site. Over year ago, they dropped a single “LA Looks,” which left a phone number – those that called that number ended up being some of the people called during the HEALTH “reverse-telethon”!
