Dr. Luke Moves To Subpoena Ke$ha Fan Who Organized FreeKesha Rallies

As the conflict between Dr. Luke and Kesha continues, the #FreeKesha protest has been growing. Recently, Dr. Luke has taken action to subpoena Michael Eisele, a Kesha fan who organized the protest.

According to Pitchfork, the documents obtained has said accused thefan of “closely coordinating” with Kesha’s camp to spread “defamatory statements and tarnish [Dr. Luke]’s reputation.”

The situation has been going on before 2014. The producer has been sued for sexual assault in October 2014, but the situation has going on even before the lawsuit to the New York court. Last year, Shirley Kornreich, the judge, has dismissed all of Ke$ha’s cases, saying “While Kesha’s [claim] alleges that she was sexually, physically and verbally abused by Gottwald for a decade, she describes only two specific instances of physical/sexual abuse, do not allege that Gottwald harbored animus toward women or was motivated by gender animus when he allegedly behaved violently toward Kesha … Every rape is not a gender-motivated hate crime.”, but this fight still continue. Also, Dr. Luke’s attorney has released emails that have counterattacked these accusations.

Even though the fan, Dr.Luke or Kesha have not commented on the situation, the attorneys for Dr. Luke has wrote “Plaintiffs allege that Ms. Sebert and her representatives closely coordinated with Mr. Eisele to spread Ms. Sebert’s defamatory statements and tarnish Plaintiffs’ reputation. Plaintiffs further allege that Ms. Sebert, individually and through her representatives, has breached her contracts with Plaintiffs by, inter alia, encouraging and assisting Mr. Eisele in creating bogus Internet “petitions“ and in engaging in other tactics to pressure Sony Music Entertainment to terminate its business with Plaintiffs. As such, Plaintiffs believe that Mr. Eisele has information that is material and necessary to the prosecution of this action and is not reasonably available from any of the parties.”

If this subpoena goes through, then Eisele would have to testify in court with Dr. Luke’s attorney questioning.
