David Bowie Releasing Limited Edition LPs Cracked Actor (Live in Los Angeles 1974) and Bowpromo on Record Store Day 2017

In order to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Record Store Day, two limited edition David Bowie albums are going to be released. Film wise David Bowie’s Last Five Years’s documentary is also going to feature on HBO.

According to Rolling Stone, Cracked Actor (Live in Los Angeles 1974) is a never been released track while Bowpromo is a replication of songs that were made in Hunky Dory but there are mixes. Both albums will be released on April 22nd.

Cracked Actor (Live in Los Angeles 1974) is a five sided album that was first recorded at Universal Amphitheatre during the Philly Dogs Tour on September 5th 1974.  Cracked Actor was a BBC documentary film about Bowie’s struggles with drugs and mental state.

The record was mixed by Tony Visconti and includes vocals from Luther Vandross. This process also included a different lineup from that during Bowie’s 1974 David Live.
