The American country music singer is coming to the Philadelphia area this May. Billy Currington brings the South with him as he performs at The Fillmore. Billy’s last album, Summer Forever, was released June 2015. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter is currently touring the United States.
Billy Currington got his start singing at a dive bar in Georgia. Billy Currington signed with Mercury Records in 2003. The same year, Billy released his self-titled debut album. The hit single off the album, Walk a Little Straighter, debuted at number 8 on Hot Country Songs chart. In 2005, Billy Currington released his second album, Doin’ Something Right, which debuted at number 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. The same album debuted at number 11 Billboard 200 chart. The album was such a huge success, earning double platinum. Billy Currington’s next album, Little Bit of Everything, followed suit. The album debuted at number 2 on the country charts. Billy Currington next three albums continued to flood the airwaves and charts.
In 2006, Billy won Hottest Video of the Year for “Must Be Doin’ Something Right” at CMT Music Awards. Billy Currington was nominated for a Grammy in 2010 for Male Country Vocal Performance. Billy Currington has toured with other big country stars like Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, and Lady Antebellum.
