Toronto festival, North by Northeast, is bringing back their offshoot festival “Port Lands” for a second consecutive year, and organizers have revealed the first batch of artists who will take the outdoor stage at the fest on June 23 to 25.
At the top of the bill is Tyler the Creator, MC Post Malone and indie-pop outfit Passion Pit.
Other acts include performances by Bleachers, Sleigh Bells, the Soul Rebels featuring Talib Kweli, Twin Peaks, Cold Specks, MUNA and Son Little. According to a press release, there will be a second round of performers announced in early April.
“The team at NXNE is driven by its passion for music and pop culture and it’s what drives us to bring Torontonians the most dynamic and innovative programming possible,” NXNE president and managing director Michael Hollett said in a statement. “This year’s Port Lands lineup will light up our stages with the most diverse voices in music today.”
Also included in this year’s Port Lands for the first time ever will be a comedy tent, midway carnival rides and games, art installations and more.
NXNE is set to take place from June 16 to 25 in Toronto, with further programming announcements to be made in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on the festival’s official website for further details.
