Betty Who races to the Union Transfer next month. The musician-songwriter recently signed with RCA records. Since her start, Betty Who has released only one album, Take Me When You Go. Betty’s second album, The Valley, is set to be released later this month. Betty Who is known for her cover of Donna Lewis’ “I Love You Always Forever”.
Betty Who began her singing career at the age of 16 after moving from Australia to the United States. Betty attended college in Boston at the famous Berklee College of Music. Betty’s first single “Somebody Loves You” earned a lot of buzz after its release. Betty Who released her debut EP, The Movement, in 2013. Later the same year, Betty Who signed with RCA records. A viral video online sent Betty’s single straight up the music charts. At one point, Betty’s single was number 4 on the Most Viral Songs on the music streaming service Spotify. In 2014, “Somebody Loves You” reached the number one spot on Billboard’s Dance/Club Play Songs chart. Betty released her first debut album, Take Me When You Go, in the fall of 2014. The album debuted at number five on the Billboard’s Dance Albums chart.
Betty Who has appeared on multiple tours with world renown artists. Her mixture of indie pop with electronic had been a staple of her sound. Her voice brings out the best in her music style.
