The comedian, Talking Dead and @midnight with Chris Hardwick host has just announced a new kind of experience to be held by him in Silicon Valley this summer, known as the Id10T Music Festival and Comic Conival. What makes this festival different from any of the ones before it is that it is fueled by nerds from every aspect of popular culture. Its main focus is to celebrate music, gaming, comedy, tech, comics, movies and much more. Hardwick has partnered with Live Nation and Synergy Global Entertainment to gather some of the most influential people in the entertainment business for this one-in-a-lifetime weekend experience. The two day festival will begin on Saturday, June 24 and end the following day and be held primarily at the Shoreline Amphitheater but will also include the surrounding grounds in Mountain View, CA.

The ID10T Festival (pronounced I-D-ten-T) will feature all of the standard components of today’s music festivals but will also include some features never before held at a festival. Some of these experimental additions to the festival lifestyle include, exhibitor booths, meeting comic book artists and catching their favorite TV and movie casts on back-to-back panels and podcasts. The festival will also include a special live taping of Hardwick’s own Nerdist Podcast. When the sun goes down is when the grounds will transform entirely, and include the live performances in music and comedy from some of today’s top artists and comedians, lineup seen below. The event will be hosted by Hardwick, who will be onsite to moderate the main panels and introduce select bands and comedic performances.

The festival grounds, map seen below, will include three entertainment stages that will host the vast variety of artists. An interactive festival area that will include games, rides and fan expereinces. There will be a massive exhibitor villages and a curated artist alley, where some of the featured names in comic books and entertainment will be available to meet fans. They will also showcase their art, discuss their craft, sign autographs and much more with fans.

“Over the years, I’ve enjoyed an INORDINATE amount of time at music festivals, comedy festivals, comic-cons, craft fairs, and gaming conventions,” Hardwick said in a press release. “My goal with ID10T is to create a 2-day mega-event that mashes all of my favorite parts of them together, and Silicon Valley is the PERFECT place to do it.”

Tickets for the festival, available here, will be available on March 10 at 10 am PST and will start at $55 for Festival General Admission. There will also be Amphitheater Main Stage Reserved Seating Tickets available for a starting cost of $77.50 and a Weekend Pass starting at $99. Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
