Agnes Obel @ Union Transfer 3/9

Agnes Obel is headed to the Union Transfer this month! The Danish singer and songwriter recently released her third album, Citizen of Glass, last October. The album debuted at number 30 on the famous UK Albums Chart, winning positive reviews along the way. Anges is currently touring the US.

Agnes Obel first got her start in while playing bass for a small group in 1994. The band played fairly small gigs from time to time. Agnes did all the producing, writing, and sound by herself. Anges’ first album made a huge impact coming out. At the SXSW Festival in 2011, Agnes Obel performed most of her off the album. Philharmonics was certified gold by B.E.A in June 2011.

Agnes Obel has captured the world with her powerful voice. Her music has a certain soft spoken vibe to it. Agnes has received praises from some of the most influential people in the world. In September 2013, Agnes Obel performed at the iTunes UK Festival. After the release of her second album, Aventine, Agnes Obel performed at the famous music hall L’Olympia in Paris.
