The lineup to the 12 annual Osheaga festival has just been released and it lists major artists including Muse, The Weeknd, Lorde, and a ton more. Other festival performers that crowds can get rowdy for include Justice, Foster the People and Majid Jordan. The three day festival will begin on Aug 4 in Montreal, Canada and tickets range from $320 for general admission all the way up to the platinum passes for $1150. Find a list of venues and vendors on their official website, along with a handy survival guide including information on the average weather in Montreal.

In an unfortunate turn of events, Solange had to cancel her performance on Saturday due to “unforeseen circumstances,” with production.

The festival released a statement saying “It is with regret that OSHEAGA Music and Arts Festival has to announce that Solange will not be performing this weekend at the festival, due to unforeseen production issues out of her and the festival’s control.”

“Solange would like to take this time to send her deepest apologies for the inconvenience and hopes to see her Montreal fans real soon.”

Ocheaga Festival began in 2006 and attracted a total of 25,000 people and in 2012 crowds reached their capacity of 40,000 each day. During its first year, headliners included The Flaming Lips, Kid Koala and Lady Sovereign. During last year’s event, Lana Del Rey, Radiohead, and Vince Staples were among some of the major artists performing at the estival.

Recently, The Weeknd dropped his latest album Starboy which broke records all across the board including but not limited to most Spotify streams in one day and hit number one in over 90 territories. Muse’s latest album Drones was released in 2015 and will likely being promoting music from that LP at the festival this summer. So far the rock band is listed on several festival lineups including Reading and Leeds Festival and Firefly Festival.

McKenzie Dillon: University of Nevada, Reno Alumna. I graduated with a major in writing and a minor in journalism. I enjoy reading, writing, and listening to music of course. I was raised in the bay area, and am thrilled to be living back in California. Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
