Passenger makes his way to The Fillmore next week promoting his latest album, Young as the Morning, Old as the Sea. Passenger makes music using folk beats to relate with his fans, earning numerous nominations. The folk-rock singer is already working on his next album.
Passenger started as a band in 2003 with the main singer Micheal Rosenberg, Andrew Phillips, Alon Cohen, Tom Mills. After the debut of their first album, Wicked Man’s Rest, co-founder Andrew Phillips left the band in 2007. Just two years later, the rest band broke up. Micheal Rosenberg continued to use the band name as a solo artist. Passenger debut solo album, Wide Eyes Blind Love, was released in 2009. The album was widely popular in overseas in Australia and United Kingdom. Passenger sold out shows all over Australia and played in various music festivals.
After Passenger released his second album, Flight of the Crow was released in 2010. Passenger went on tour with Ed Sheeran, playing all over North America. In 2013, Passenger won Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Song for his hit single, Let Her Go at the Indepdencne Music Awards. Passenger released Whispers and Whisper 2 a year apart. Passenger donated all of the profits he made from the albums to UNICEF in the United Kingdom. Passenger is currently touring the United States for his latest album.
