However, that is not the only thing fans should be concerned about Pitchfork has recently announced that the Coachella website has been hacked and that some of the user registration information has been compromised. The website has made it very clear that no financial information was stolen from the site, so users should have no worries about serious information being stolen.
It appears that the information that was stolen because of the system people used to purchase tickets through the website. It appears that the company has done all that they can to make sure that things are made right.
They recently released a statement that read:
Please be aware that you may be targeted by phishing emails sent from people impersonating Coachella personnel. Please remember that Coachella will never solicit personal information or account information from you via email. Please exercise caution if you receive any emails or phone calls that ask for such information, or direct you to web sites where you are asked for personal or financial information. Festival ticketing purchase accounts were not affected by this incident, however festival attendees may want to consider changing any passwords that they have shared with others.
There was also a tweet released about how Coachella had been hacked and for sure the news has been spreading.
