Now for most people, concerts are a very loud and wild experience. As fun and widely accepted as this concept is, it can be overwhelming and many times artists loose the ability to become more personal and make a connection with their fans. Ellen Aileen seems to be breaking the constructs of the concert scene and has just announced Vinylism 2017.
Now unlike many artists who just simply perform, Aileen wants to give love to the record stores that she appreciates. She carefully picks out records from these store and then plays them inside of the record store so that her fans can enjoy a more intimate experience. Now instead of of a loud, headbanging concert, fans can get more of a small party, hang out experience.
The project started in February 2016 at Lucky Records in Reykjavik. She has also had the opportunity to play at some of her other favorite record stores. Ultrasuoni in Rome, La fin du vinyle, in Montreal, Gravity Records in Turin, Discos Paradiso in Barcelona, and Smallville records in Paris.
As of now, she has set three tour dates for the spring of this year with more dates to come. Be sure to go ahead and check out this incredibly new style of the music going experience.
