Maynard James Keenan Has Begun Vocal Work on the New Tool Album

After many teasers the high anticipation of the new Tool Album we finally have another update for the fans. Tool’s official website informed us that Maynard James Keenan has started working on vocals for the bands 5th studio album. 10,000 Days was the last released album over decade ago. After waiting a long 10 years the Tool fans have been left with an empty void waiting for new music from the band. There has been teasers and minor updates that had us anticipating a new album, but now we are reassured.

The website informs that Tool has moved their gear into a new space with Maynard working on vocals.

In speaking with Danny last night, he told me that the band has temporarily moved some of their gear into a larger space (across town) where Maynard is working on vocals for some of the new Tool material. I’m sure that he has already been doing this to some extent, but now he has more room to breathe and a better vocal booth.

One of Keenan’s most recent interviews, he discussed the process of making music for all of his variety of projects. He explains that for some works he has a plan, but for some he sees roadblocks. Unfortunately, he is unable to say which one has the roadblocks leaving some of the Tool fans uneasy. At least, we have hope that the album is coming seeing as he has started the vocals for the new album. Next, we are just going to wait patiently for the release of Tool’s new album as they work their magic.
