The Kills 15th Anniversary Show Live at Electric Lady Studios, NY

Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince of The Kills are out celebrating. It’s February 14 and the indie duo have been firing off dirty garage rock songs for exactly fifteen years. Since their first show in 2002 at a small London club, the band have performed around the world in backrooms and arenas and have released five albums. For this particular occasion, the Kills showed up for a secret basement show at New York’s Electric Lady Studios, one of the locations at which they recorded their most recent release, 2016’s Ash & Ice. Packing in about 100 friends and fans into a downstairs studio, Mosshart and Hince — supported by a bassist and drummer — ran through twelve tracks evenly split between old favorites and new gems.

The entire show was streamed on the The Kills’ Facebook page and, despite dicey sound quality, is worth a viewing.
