Indie pop icons, Belle and Sebastian, have just announced a string of tour dates to accompany their July Panorama Festival appearance in New York City. The band hasn’t made many appearances on this side of the Atlantic, which makes this tour special one. The tour will also bring the band to Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia and Los Angeles to name a few. The Scottish natives will be accompanied on various shows by big names like Spoon, Andrew Bird and Julien Baker. Tickets for all the shows, except the Raleigh and LA shows, are set to go on sale this Friday, February 17. For a full list of tour dates, ticketing information and a tour flyer, see below.

Earlier this Fall Belle and Sebastian teased to fans of work on a new album via their Twitter page, seen below. The Twitter post shows the band recording in their native Glasgow, Scotland. According to a press release, the band will be taking their new material on the road with them. Making this tour a special opportunity to hear new material for the first time since their 2015 release, Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance. More details on the new music is expected to surface later this year through Matador Records.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
