Being As An Ocean @ Grizzly Hall 3/31

Hailing from Alpine, California, Being As An Ocean are currently an Equal Vision Records signed, post-hardcore outfit that formed in 2011. So far, the group has released three albums, with their 2015 self-titled record being their third and latest one. The album released late year on June 30th through InVouge Records – a label founded by Nick Moore of Before Their Eyes. Their self-tilted full-length received many positive reviews from the post hardcore community, and left fans waiting in high anticipation for their next record.

Originally known as Vanguard, Being As An Ocean started out as an extreme metal Christian band. Eventually, through some experimentation and tweaking, the group began to move in a more melodic post-hardcore direction with their sound. Their debut studio album, Dear G-D… debuted on October 23rd of 2012, with their first single dropping earlier that year in January. Dear G-D… was a success, and enabled the band to tour in over 20 countries – a feat many artists would love to achieve after a debut record. Last year on December 10th, the band announced — via their twitter page — the release date for their upcoming album, Waiting for Morning to Come, which is due out on June 9th of this year.

Don’t miss Being As An Ocean Next month when they perform live at Grizzly Hall as a supporting act for Enter Shikari.
