Jamiroquai Releases New Song “Cloud 9”

Jamiroquai, a British fun and acid jazz band, has recently released a song called “Cloud 9”. This song will be a part of the new album Automation, which is the first album that will be released in seven years.

The song and the track were written by Jay Kay and Matt Johnson. According to SPIN, the track is described to be typically smooth and funky track about hitting the town while on the rebound. With the type of repetitive beat the song brings, there’s a dance-able mood present. According to Rolling Stone, this song marks “the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today.” With this song, the band aims for an everlasting groovy atmosphere.

In a press release, Jay Kay had stated “Cloud 9 is a song that’s written in the style that I hope people know us for and are familiar with. It’s a song that if anyone that has been jilted and yet found love somewhere else will no doubt relate to. Can’t wait for you to hear it – get in the car stick it on the radio and just drive.”
