Portugal. The Man makes their way to the Union Transfer this March. The American rock band unique style mixed with psychedelics and experimental continues to amaze fans and newcomers. If you’re looking for something away from all the mainstream, Portugal. The Man is here for you.

Portugal. The Man was formed in 2001 with the original members being John Gourley and Zach Carothers. Kyle O’Quinn didn’t join until later. Their first album, Waiter: “You Vultures!”, was released in 2006 earning positive reviews. After their second album, Portugal. The Man headlined their first major US tour. Portugal. The Man continued their success, headlining another tour for Europe the same year. Portugal. The Man’s fame came when they performed at the famous Lollapalooza in Chicago. Portugal. The Man had finally achieved the success they was always looking for.

Portugal. The Man has truly captured the essence of what music is. Their style of music could be heard through the likes of Cold War Kids, Modest Mouse, and Cage The Elephant. Over the years, Portugal. The Man has given their fans music to dance and feel good about. Danger Mouse has been a proven factor in their success. While Portugal. The Man continues to expand their audience, their music never strays.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia. After studying Liberal Arts at CCP, he decided to focus his time on his writing and photography. In 2016, Donovan completed his first feature-length screenplay, The Coast is Clear. During his career, Donovan worked on a small budget film in Philadelphia as part of a writing team. Since then, he has written various short screenplays.
