Portugal. The Man was formed in 2001 with the original members being John Gourley and Zach Carothers. Kyle O’Quinn didn’t join until later. Their first album, Waiter: “You Vultures!”, was released in 2006 earning positive reviews. After their second album, Portugal. The Man headlined their first major US tour. Portugal. The Man continued their success, headlining another tour for Europe the same year. Portugal. The Man’s fame came when they performed at the famous Lollapalooza in Chicago. Portugal.
