Pop-punk band The Maine are bringing their talent into the bay this spring! They will be playing the Great American Music Hall on April 7th. They will be touring to support their upcoming album Lovely, Little, Lonely which will be dropped, literally, on this day. They will be touring alongside the band Beach Weather.
The Arizona natives formed The Maine way back in 2007 and have been dolling out pop-punk hits ever since. In support of their upcoming album the band released the single Bad Behavior early last month. Their most recent work includes 2015’s American Candy which was wildly popular. The hits to come out of that album include Another Night On Mars, English Girls, and Miles Away. Previous to that the band has put out four other albums, 2008’s Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop, 2010’s Black And White, 2011’s Pioneer, and 2013’s Forever Halloween. Their biggest hits are Into Your Arms, Girls Do What They Want, Inside Of You, Color, Right Girl, Like We Did, Misery, Run, and Love & Drugs. The band has also released various EPs like their debut release The Way We Talk, …And Happy New Year, Imaginary Numbers, and Stay Up, Get Down. One of the best things they’ve put out is 2016’s Covers, where the band covers a ton of pop hits. They show off the vocal abilities of singer John O’Callaghan and the band’s ability to switch up their sound. The band has long mastered the art of pop-punk and putting out record selling hits. They are quirky in their antics when you watch them live and keep it real with their introspective songs. The Maine keeps their sound fresh as the band ages, their music has progressively matured alongside their original audience.
Fans of Anarbor, Mayday Parade, and The Summer Set will jump at the chance to grab a ticket for this show. This band is a great example of the post children for pop-punk. Their songs and style have matured in tandem with their audience and continue to grow their sound. This band kicks ass live. Check out some of my favorite songs such as (Un)Lost, If I Only Had A Heart, and the hilarious Santa Stole My Girlfriend. I fell in love with this band at 14 and have been keeping pace with them ever since. Hit click and join the sweet madness this show will bring.
