Los Angeles composed heavy metal band Body Count, has announced their new album Bloodlust to be released on March 31st via Century Media. The album will feature an 11 set track-list with the first single “No Lives Matter” to make its debut online February 17th. Last Monday the band Unveiled a preview video of the upcoming release:
Co-founded by hip-hop legend, and actor Ice-T and guitarist Ernie C in 1990, these rap-metal rockers made their official debut in 1992 with their self-titled album Body Count, which featured the notorious controversial track “Cop Killer.” Bloodlust will be the follow up to their most recent album release was in 2014 with their fifth studio album Manslaughter.
In a recent interview with Revolver lead singer Ice-T talks about the process of making an album,”Making records is a very interesting process,” ‘You work really hard on something and finish it and then you’ll be like, ‘Yo, that sounds like somebody else’s record.’ Or, ‘Hey, didn’t we just make that record three days ago?’ One time we did two songs in a row and afterwards I looked at them and said, ‘Yo, that’s the same riff in each song.’ So we had to pick one! But in the end we came up with some very aggressive and cool music.” He also explains his thoughts on their new album “Bloodlust is part of the human makeup. Murder is about as normal as love. It’s in our nature to want to get violent and kill, but we know there are consequences. That’s why we like violent movies, video games and combat sports. It’s in our DNA. It’s what we are.”
