HINDS and Twin Peaks just announced a co-headlining North American tour together that is sure to bring power punching garage pop and indie rock to adoring fans across the continent. The tour is presented by Noisey and will visit a stop in Vancouver, British Columbia and follows the west coast down to both groups’ final performances at weekend two of Coachella in Indio, California. The tour was an easy decision as the group has already successfully collaborated on a huge hometown show for HINDS in Madrid, Spain after meeting at SXSW in 2016. The pre-sale starts at 10AM PT tomorrow and tickets go on-sale Friday, February 10th at 10AM.
HINDS is the up and coming band to keep an eye on, after only releasing their debut album, Leave Me Alone, in January 2016 they have garnered a lot of hype and are well on their way to becoming a household name. The group had humble beginning starting with the duo Carlotta Cosials and Ana Garcia Perrote two female guitarists/singers that released dos lo-fi demos under the name Deers. Since the group has added a bassist and drummer and further released numerous singles while dealing with a legally forced name change to HINDS. After touring Europe and releasing singles gathering fans along the way the group had created a lasting image they could stick with and decided to go forward with their first studio album, Leave Me Alone. The result is this newly announced tour and the Coachella dates which are huge milestones for the Spanish locals.
The other star of the Noisey Sponsored North America tour is Twin Peaks, the garage rock band literally started their group in the senior year of high school as a group friends jamming in their garage. The 4 Chicago Natives toured off their self recorded EP, Sunken, which eventually caught the attention of the LA based label Autumn Tone Records that released the album in 2013. After a short-lived college run the group ditched their schools and headed back home to follow their passions recording, Wild Onion, which was released in 2014 by the Label Grand Jury. The album was a hit and gave the group enough momentum to book festivals and tour all of North America from Canada to Mexico. During this time they met HINDS at SXSW, which led to the groups to perform the show together in Madrid. All this has led up to their 2016 release of the LP, Down In Heaven, which captures the original sounds that fans fell in love with while also showing a true maturity in the studio.
