Ticket holders for VIMIC’s European/UK tour may harbor bittersweet feelings towards the former Slip Knot drummer Joey Jordison’s latest project. According to sources at The Prp, the American heavy metal group have postponed their plans to carry out this transatlantic string of shows.
Jordison offers disappointed fans (with tickets in hand) a sort of light at the end of tunnel, for the band’s decision to defer lies on their priority to finish another studio album. Jordison states, “The band and I feel horrible but I want to give fans the best experience possible and we felt completing the album before the tour makes the most sense. I promise we are going to visit Europe towards the end of 2017.”
So, while news of the hold up feels a little like being blown off by your former crush, promises of new material, and the new album Open Your Omen really translate into the potential for even more mind-melting performances to come.
Although the date for Open Your Omen’s release is still up in the air, at least the wheels are set in motion, and more concrete news is, most likely, somewhere in the not so far off future. Hold tight kiddies.
