This week Dave Grohl and Josh Homme were photographed together in the studio making us wonder if they might be working on Queens of the Stone Age‘s new album? We just learned that Dave Grohl would not be performing at the Grammy Awards next weekend with A Tribe Called Quest and Anderson Paak. Fortunately, we can let him slide since Grohl recently hit the studio with Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme. Eagles of Death Metal‘s Jesse Hughes posted a photo of all three on his Instagram page, but later deleted the post.
We are left wondering what Grohl and Homme have plotted up their sleeve for us. It was reported that Homme’s Queens of the Stone Age are hard at work on a new studio album in which Grohl has a long history of collaborations with the band. We also know that the Foo Fighters are recording a new album as well. In addition Grohl and Homme are both bandmates in Them Crooked Vultures with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones. I guess it is left to us to figure out if we are in store for collaborative efforts between the two or whether it was just a group of friends hanging around catching up. Hopefully our answers will be answered soon.
