Midlake, Grandaddy, Franz Ferdinand, Band of Horses Members Form BNQT and Announce New Album Volume 1 for April Release

BNQT… Remember it, look for it, and be very excited. The newest biggest most anticipated indie-rock super group has finally been confirmed. BNQT is the brain child of the band Midlake who decided it was time for the world to experience the next rock super group. So in appropriate fashion the crafted the name Banquet, quickly shortening it to BNQT. The next step in their plan to build the biggest indie-rock super group was to recruit, and recruit they did. They band has announced collaborations with huge industry names such as Ben Bidwell of Band of Horses, Alex Labrador of Frank Ferdinand, and France Healy of Travis, and Jason Lytle of Granddaddy.

The 10 track album aptly named Volume 1, an apparent indication of more to come, will be released April 28th via Dualtone/Bella Union. Each member wrote two songs and will lead them accordingly. Midlake’s lead singer Eric Pulido carries the album first track “Restart” which is an amazing 90s grunge rock record. Indie-rock fans have ever reason to be excited and expect nothing but huge records from this album. BNQT is in works to be the greatest indie-rock super group that will be looked back on by future generations as the staple of a genre.

According to Spin.com, Pulido explained that “the project had been in the works since 2013, and was created through a protracted process involving files being e-mailed back and forth, due to the band’s members being spread out across the globe” and fans couldn’t be happier that they worked tirelessly to deliver this project. Check out Midlake, the band mastermind behind this collosal collaboration of BNQT.
