Ryan Adams has just released a cover to Radiohead’s 1997 hit, “Karma Police,” on BBC Radio 2.
There is emphasis on the fact that this is simply a cover song and will not be an entire album cover, as Ryan Adams‘ fans and Taylor Swift fans know, he will not be embarking on that kind of journey again any time soon. Just as Adams’ history with covering song has shown us, the cover of Karma Police is one that any Radiohead fan should appreciate. The melodic flow that was captured in this cover is nothing short of brilliance. The singer/songwriter has once again taken a challenging song and given it the perfect amount of respectful admiration and fresh air. A very talented artist and musician, Adams managed to keep his fans on their toes with his variety is musical taste and influence and this cover is one of the prime examples of that. The song can be streamed on SoundCloud below.
Adams is currently playing shows in Europe to promote his greatly anticipated album, Prisoner, due out on February 17. The single, “Doomsday,” is also available to stream via SoundCloud here. He has also released a couple songs from the new album called “Do You Still Love Me?” and “To Be Without You.” Adams is also said to be working on a double album with American singer/songstress Liz Phair. The two were spotted in the studio via twitter working on their upcoming project. Prisoner is available for preorder now but if you can’t wait for the album release and want to hear the new material sooner you can look for him on any of his 2017 Spring tour dates, listed below.
