American indietronica band The Octopus Project has a big new album Memory Mirror. This is the bands first release since their last album Fever Forms in 2013 which saw wide praise from music critics. The new album Memory Mirror will feature some interesting changes, with the addition of a new member and production/mixing from some big names like Danny Reisch (Shearwater, White Denim) and Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, Flaming Lips).

The first single from Memory Mirror, “Wrong Gong” was offered to listeners first at the site and is now available on the bands SoundCloud. The song is an exciting glimpse into what is to come from the bravely experimental indie rockers. It is strange and banging in the most happily familiar way. The synths layered with a bouncing beats only add to the reverbed effect of the vocals. Heavy and light at the same time the song is true to their bold mix of Indie Rock and Electronic sounds. If this party in a song is any prelude to what Memory Mirror will have to offer Indie Scene is in for a goliath of an album.
