English rock band Slowdive has just announced a new North American Tour, marking the first tour since their Fall 2014 trip. The band will be hitting cities across the Midwest and the east coast, so those on the West Coast will have to travel a bit to see them. Shows begin on May 2 in St. Paul, MN, and goes until May 8 in Brooklyn, NY. Indie rock band Japanese Breakfast will be opening up for the group throughout the entire tour. Check out the rest of the lineup below for a complete list of tour dates and venues. Tickets go on sale Jan. 27, so make sure to snag your ticket ASAP.

Fans were ecstatic when Slow Dive’s new song “Star Roving” blessed our speakers for the first time, as the song is the band’s first material for 22 long years. All this new activity is coming after the band announced they finished recording their new album back in August. While it’s going to be the first new album in 20 years, there’s no word yet on when exactly it’ll be released. However, new song and live performance dates is good enough for fans right now to get their Slowdive fix.

The song received critical acclaim so far, as NPR music said “Listening to Slowdive is like watching the sunrise and sunset at once — an awe-inspiring chorus of the galaxy.”

The New York Times were equally impressed, saying “The mix is even denser and more diffuse than Slowdive’s albums from the 1990s, reveling in the analog blur and sounding glad to be back.”

UPDATE (6/13): Slowdive have released a slew of new North American dates for the summer. The dates will take the legendary shoegaze band well into the Winter of 2017 when they finish up in Ashville, NC.
