When American experimental band Black Moth Super Rainbow led by producer Tobacco released a 7″ split single with Freescha titled SeeFu Lilac in February of 2016 fans were excited for the first new music from the group who haven’t released a new full-length since 2012’s Cobra Juicy. At the time they described the split 7” as “neon-flavored outtakes from a 6th album that doesn’t yet exist”. This theme of referring to the new songs as outtakes (even though there is no information of the musical cloth these songs were cut from) continued in January with this post on the band’s Facebook page:
Copies of this release are still available in digital form on their website though unfortunately the physical copy of the CD (which only had 1000 copies) as well as the 10” vinyl (which had a release of 1500 copies are sold out!

Today the band posted a fairly cryptic message on their Facebook page that reads something like the “previously seen on” montage that plays at the beginning of a new episode in a tv series that is returning for a new season that included a link to the single “Bad Fuckin Times” from the 7” simply stating it was “from the next album”. The new posts suggests that fans are a little bit closer to hearing that album come into existence but until then you can enjoy those outtakes!
