The 8th Annual DelFest has officially announced the 2017 line up featuring acts such as The Infamous Stringdusters, Bela Fleck & Chris Thile, and Sara Watkins. The festival will be held at Allegany County Fairgroups in Cumberland, MD from May 25-28, 2017. Originally, the event was started from the desire to create a family-friendly music festival to celebrate McCoury Music. Thus a platform was created for world-class musical collaborations and a showcase for new talent. DelFest is produced in association with High Sierra Music offering the festival experience with that special touch.
Expect traditional stage set ups by world-class artists, in which you an see one-of-a-kind collaborations along with special guests, and tributes to Del McCoury and his legacy. In addition intimate appearances are available along with “playshops” that are informal workshops with the focus on performance rather than instruction. After DelFest there will be a 3 day Music Academy hosted by The Travelin’ McCourys along with other all stars.
