Eerie, electrically fluid, thick with grime and seeping with a soft, poetic, almost velvety narrator.  Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will forever refuse to be categorized as anything you’re accustomed to hearing in music.  Since 1983 the group has been heralded by many as the most original and celebrated band of the post-grunge and alternative rock eras of the ‘80s and onward.  Nick’s voice rolls smoothly against synth heavy instrumentals as the vehicle for his more rugged and raw lyrics performed in prose form.

Since the bands inception they have gone through many different members and evolutions.  They have a total of 15 studio albums and have toured the world many times over. After Cave returned from his hiatus he oversaw the production of Original Seeds to slowly make his way back into the musical world after remarrying.  This album was designed to be a compilation of other artists and their material that influenced the group, a way of paying homage to his inspiration.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will once again be on tour in support of their latest 2016 release “Skeleton Tree” with a stop at the Greek Theater on Thursday June, 29th.  They will accompanied by Cat Power, the multi-layered singer song writer with hints of soul, electronica and punk tightly spun into her music.
