The Santa Monica born and Detroit bread emcee was originally signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label back in 2007 after Sean rapped for ‘Ye during a recording session at a studio he was interning for. He later signed with Def Jam Recordings in 2008 then ROC Nation in 2014. During these times, Sean released many mix tapes with his sound evolving and improving with each effort. 2011 saw the release of his first studio album “Finally Famous” and his second studio album “Hall of Fame” being released in 2013. 2015 marked the release of his highly anticipated project Dark Sky Paradise which earned him his first number 1 album and left listeners with no questions about his lyrical ability and place in hip hop.
Big Sean will be on tour this year promoting his new album “I Decided.” The title could possibly be an allusion to the fact that he has made some major changes in his life and music. His lead single which is aptly titled “Moves” further plays into this theme as “making moves” is often the effect when someone has created a goal and intends on achieving it. The tour will span 21 cities, starting in Houston, Texas and ending in Miami, Florida with a stop in Anaheim at the House of Blues on March 24. Big Sean’s shows are full of energy and emotion, much like his music. Older heads and younger fans alike will appreciate his modern sound and ability to maintain intricate flows with meaningful content.
