The xx @ Bill Graham Civic Theatre 4/16

English Indie pop band The xx are coming to the Bill Graham Civic theatre. They are playing the Bill Graham back to back nights, but the first night is already sold out, so hop on this deal to see this rad band. The band is embarking on their I See You tour, which has them hitting up the sights throughout Europe before they make their way across the pond.

The band is made up of three musicians whose sound can be described as dream pop with a mixture of an indie sound. The vocals responsibilities switch back and forth between Romy Croft and Oliver Sim, where Romy is a female and Oliver is a male, each song carries the same style but offers the chance to have a different feel between the differences in their voices. Recently, the band dropped their latest album I See You this year. The most popular songs off that track are the hits Hold On, Say Something Lovely, and Dangerous. This album follows the same vibe as their preceding two albums, 2012’s Coexist and 2009’s xx. Other hit songs the band has dropped are Intro, Crystalised, and Islands from their 2009 album; from their 2012 album their most notable songs are Angels, Sunset, and Chained. The band’s musical style is fun and eclectic; it’s not easily comparable to the band’s benefit and success. They keep their sound their own, they keep it dreamy.

Fans of Bombay Bicycle Club, alt-J, and Crystal Castles are gonna already be in the know about this show and this act. I mean, common, they are play TWO shows back to back. Make sure to grab your tickets before this show sells out, because this is going to be a show that you are not going to want to miss.
