Alternative rock band We The Kings are embarking on their WTK10 tour, which is commemorating their 10 year anniversary as a band. The group will be hitting up the Social Hall SF on March 16th, the perfect date to kick off your spring break with a rad concert.
We The Kings made a splash with their self-titled first album, especially with their monster hit Check Yes Juliet, ten years ago back in 2007. Alongside their major hit, that album is known for the songs Skyway Avenue and Secret Valentine. They have continued to steadily put out power-pop/alternative rock music that their fans love. When they announced their anniversary tour, the band announced that they were also working on their sixth studio album, so you could say they’ve stayed productive. Recently the band dropped their latest album Strange Love back in 2015. The album is known for the songs Love Again, Jenny’s Song, and Runaway. Previous to that are their five other albums which produced the notable songs Sad Song from their album Somewhere, Somehow, We’ll Be A Dream from the album Smile Kid, and the song Say You Like Me from the album Sunshine State of Mind.
The band’s power-pop sound mixed with alternative rock are a staple in the pop-rock music scene. They pull out emotional love songs like Sad Song or power-pop like Check Yes Juliet. This band is consistent in their sound, the perfect songs to pull you back into a memory from the year one of their songs came out; instant nostalgia inducing songs to bring you back to a happy memory. Fans of All Time Love, Mayday Parade, and The Maine will be down to check this show out. Hit click on those tickets and transport yourself back to 2007 with this fun band this spring.
