Canadian starboy The Weeknd is making his way into San Jose this spring. He’s hitting up the much beloved SAP Center while he makes his way through his Starboy: Legend of the Fall world tour (props for the awesome tour name, they saw the chance and took it).
The Weeknd has been proving he’s got the chops to be the superstar he is. Recently, he put out his fourth album, Starboy, in 2016. This album is huge. Most of the songs are hits and are cycling throughout Spotify, hit charts, and the radio. Notable, the songs I Feel It Coming, Starboy, and Sidewalks have garnered the most clicks. Previous to that the Weeknd has produced 3 other albums, which includes his smash album The Beauty Behind The Madness. This album dropped in 2015 and it blew up. The songs I Can’t Feel My Face, The Hills, and In The Night were huge that year on the radio. His fame and sensual songs landed his voice on the mega movie hit Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack with the sexy song Earned It. The Weeknd’s voice is so smooth and melodic and that coupled with the sensual songs he sings makes for what draws people in. His slow tempos and falsetto voice are something new, fresh, and make him stand out apart from his peers, making his music instantly memorable.
Fans of Frank Ocean, A$AP Rocky, and Drake will be down to make moves with this opportunity. San Jose is a bit out of the way, but good ole’ trusty Caltrain is on your side to make it an easier trek. Heck, maybe catch a Sharks game if you happen to make a weeknd (I HAD TO) out of this trip to make it worth it.
