Seratones @ The Echo 1/26

When the Seratones got together in 2013 they made an immediate splash in the Louisiana club scene, with lead vocalist AJ Haynes heading the way the lioness sound.  The powerful front woman both warms you with an elegant yet rugged voice and blasts with you an in-your-face fervor leaving listeners stunned in silence and serenity. It didn’t take much time for them to gain national recognition as they signed to Fat Possum Records for their first major release “Get Gone,” the album they are promoting while on tour.

While the Seratones are a relatively new band, their sound offers a different view. A strong cohesion of rhythm and groove as the backdrop to AJ’s fierce voice, they sound as if they had have been playing together for years.  A vibe that evokes both ecstasy and drive, they seem to be akin to the likes of the Black Keys meets Gary Clark Jr. meets punk rock.  Bluesy yet savvy, a new vintage sound if you will.  From front to back their album keeps you engaged..  Such emotion, such passion, such an attitude clamoring to be noticed, and for good reason!

The Seratones will be at the Echo on January 26 so mark your calendars for this one!  There is sure to be a vibrant atmosphere of excitement and care-free “Get Gone” feeling.  Be on the look out for more new music coming from the southern rock symphony, as they are just getting started.
