Panic! at the Disco has gone through a lot of changes since they burst onto the music scene in 2005. Only lead vocalist Brendan Urie remains from the original lineup as the band has seen a lot of changes throughout the past 10+ years. The band – influenced by the likes of the Beach Boys and the Beatles – has evolved its sound into more classic rock-esque with quirky pop attributes. The pop punk rock band from Las Vegas recently released their fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor, and kicked off a 36 city tour which makes a stop in Chicago in March.
Saint Motel, an Indie pop band from LA, will be opening for the band on more than half of the stops on their tour. Founded by members AJ Jackson (lead vocals, guitar and piano) and guitarist Aaron Sharp while they were attending school in southern California, Saint Motel emphasizes visuals in their performances giving the crowd a one-of-a-kind experience. The band has performed on the main stage at Coachella and toured with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Weezer and Imagine Dragons. Saint Motel was recently in Chicago for the second annual Chi Town Rising event on NYE.
Fun fact: Jackson and Sharp met bassist Dak Lerdamornpong at a local sushi bar!
