American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia Mastodon have announced plans to hit the road this spring alongside Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles on a spring U.S. headline tour, kicking off on April 14 in Missoula, Montana. The tour will also include dates at several festivals, including Welcome to Rockville Festival on April 29th, Fort Rock Festival on April 30th and Carolina Rebellion on May 5.
Mastodon says of the tour: “Hey! Good news everybody, we are hitting the road this spring with some great friends of ours Eagles Of Death Metal and Russian Circles. We couldn’t be more excited to pour majestic rock sauce all over your town. Come on down and help us celebrate the season of new beginnings where fresh buds bloom, animals awaken, the earth comes to life and there’s a new Mastodon album to melt your face off! See you there!”
Not much info for the new Mastodon album has been released and it is currently without an official title. What is known of the album includes a few of the song titles: “Show Yourself”, “Precious Stones” and “Your Own Blood”.
